BidCrew turns public DOT letting and bid-tabulation records into reproducible market summaries. Public pages use immutable snapshots so every displayed number has one consistent data cutoff.

Sources and inclusion rules

Records come from official state DOT letting calendars, contract listings, engineer estimates, and bid tabulations. Future contracts and records quarantined during source verification are excluded from published totals.

Core calculations

Dollars let

The sum of apparent low bids for trusted contracts in the stated period. It is not final paid value.

Jobs

Distinct trusted contracts in the snapshot.

Bidders per job

The average count of reported bidders among contracts with sufficient bid-tab coverage.

Single-bid share

The share of covered contracts with exactly one reported bidder.

Estimate variance

The median of apparent low bid divided by the source-reported engineer estimate, expressed relative to 100%. Suppressed where estimates are unavailable or non-independent.

Work type

Source-reported where available; otherwise deterministically inferred from pay-item codes and disclosed as inferred.

Dollars won

The sum of apparent low bids attributed to a contractor. It does not imply executed or final-paid contract value.

Each page shows both the snapshot generation date and the latest included source date. To flag a source discrepancy, use the corrections process.
